Tyson has been on a roll lately. He is learning so much everyday and his vocabulary is really starting to blossom. Multiple times a day he makes us laugh, so I thought I would share a few of them.
1) Tyson and I were walking through Wal-Mart yesterday doing some grocery shopping. The place was filled with flowers for Mother's Day. He looked at me and so preciously said, "Flowers for you Mommy?" Of course I had to buy them! Happy Mother's Day to me, right?
2) We were all sitting down a couple weeks ago watching the Miss America pageant. (Sad, I know!) As we were watching it Tyson says, "Like you Mommy." Of course I thought he was talking about the beauty, but it turns out the girls name was Kristen. Tyson says, "Kristen, like you Mommy." Who knew he was paying that close of attention?
3) It was time to get the boat in to have it looked at before we take it out on the lake. We went as a family and picked it up today. We dropped it off at our house and loaded back up in the car to go to the bank Appreciation Day. We are walking back to the car and Tyson runs to the back and says, "It's gone, where did it go?" We asked him what he was talking about, and he says, "The boat! It is missing!"
4) As you all know potty training has been a nightmare for us. We have tried everything! One thing we tried was to have him run around in the backyard with no clothes on to get him to see the pee come out. (I am not kidding when I say we tried EVERYTHING) Well, he has decided that it is really cool to pee outside. He drops his pants wherever he is and just lets it go. I guess I can't complain too much since he is not peeing in his pants!

The Circus
There was a circus in Manhattan the last couple days. We decided to take the boys last night before soccer. I have no pictures of this outing, and I'll tell you why.
Joel walked up and bought the tickets ($28 for us to go which I thought was way too much). We spotted some horses, a zebra, and a camel. They also had a bounce house for the kids to jump in and a pony merry-go-round. Tyson would not look at any of it. We started to walk in to the big tent and he started screaming. I picked him up because sometimes he just gets overwhelmed when there are a lot of people. I thought this would help. He did not stop screaming. He grabbed the back of my neck and tried to "steer" me out of the tent. Joel and Charlie were taking a seat up front. Tyson kept screaming and "steering". I told Joel we needed to leave. We walked out. Paid the guy to jump on the bounce house. Tyson would not jump. "I want to go to Mommy's house!" Tears are rolling down his face. We try again to go into the tent. Screaming! Steering! Tyson and I walked out and tried to sit outside the tent. Charlie was loving it, clapping, kicking his legs, really having a good time. Tyson is crying. "Daddy come out?" "Charlie come out?" He was worried sick about them being in that tent. We try to go get them. I am holding him. He is SCREAMING! We leave and go to Target!
Later we drive by the circus and pretend to pull into the parking lot. SCREAMING!!! Joel and I start laughing. (I never claimed to be great parents!)

Kanas City with the Hogge's
A couple weeks ago we went to Kansas City for the NCAA tournament. We convinced my sister Jenni and her family to go with us and watch the boys while Joel and I went to the basketball games. Jenni and Chris found us an awesome place to stay that had a water park attached to it. Tyson was in heaven. Although all he really liked to do was go round and round in the lazy river, we did convince him to enjoy some other things too. Most of my pictures are so dark that you can't even see who is in it, but here are a few that turned out. We had a lot of fun and it was great to spend some time with the Hogge's.
Tyson loves his cousin Noah!
Just Kidding!
I feel kind of bad about the last post. Some people really believed that it was Charlie. The true story is that Joel and I were watching TV last week and saw this preview. We both thought it looked a lot like Charlie. Apparently others thought so to because some people really thought it was him. Sorry to all that we fooled! It was Joel's idea!

Charlie's TV Debut
So many people have told us that we should get Charlie into modeling or acting. We decided to take the plunge!

Harlem Globetrotters
Monday night we loaded the kids in the car and headed to Topeka to watch the Harlem Globetrotters. The car ride there was miserable. Tyson took his shoes off and then decided he wanted them on NOW. I was driving and Joel cannot physically turn around and do it. So he screamed for 45 minutes. Charlie was bored to tears so he cried the entire trip too. But we kept truckin! Once we got there, it was all worth it. Tyson was in awe. At halftime we went down to the floor and bought a ball for him. He was soo excited. Joel and I had never been to see them either so we also enjoyed it too. FYI - the car ride home was much better!
