Happy 7th Birthday Tyson Jacob
How in the world is this little boy 7? I can't wrap my head around it. I love him so much. He is such a joy to be around. He makes me laugh so many times every day. He enjoys the little things in life more then anyone I have ever met. He makes me slow down and appreciate everything. He is never in a bad mood. He wakes up every morning smiling with a big "Good Morning Mommy!" He comes home from school every day and says, "How was your day Tyson?" (He always tells me what to say before I even get a chance to say it) So I say, "How was your day Tyson?" He responds, "Good." It is always good. Can you imagine saying every day of your life is good? What a way to live. He works so hard for everything and never complains. He is getting so tall and is acting so I old. I enjoy everything about him. Some days I wish to go back to when he was a baby because I miss those days, but every day I realize what kind of a person he is growing up to be and want to enjoy every minute of it. I love him!
He shares his birthday with his Grandpa Lundstrom, so every year we usually have visitors. And this year didn't let him down. Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Ryan, and cousin Braydon came to visit. (oh, and the dogs Joey and Wrigley) I have come to the conclusion that I am really bad at taking pictures. I have 3 from the entire weekend. We had a lot of fun, I just didn't get any pictures. There were balloons, cupcakes, candles, 2 cakes, playing in the snow, lots of presents, and some Wildcat basketball! Next weekend we are having his friends' party too. He is spoiled. Here he is on his birthday!

Good Bye Baby Bed!
Charlie has been sleeping in the bottom bunk in Tyson's room for awhile now, but I just couldn't take down the crib. It makes it too official I guess. But today I did it. It was hard and sad. And Tyson didn't help one bit because he kept saying, "There goes Charlie's bed, That's a bummer, and That's so sad!" I guess he knew how I was feeling. So I celebrated by painting his room. I love painting, it is like therapy to me. I will post pictures of the end product when I get there. My baby is growing up! :(
Bye-bye baby bed! (btw- this bed was made with love by Grandma and Grandpa Lundstrom in 2004)

New Year's Eve and Missing Teeth
We had a hard time deciding what we were going to do for New Year's Eve this year. Maybe get a sitter and go out or maybe just hang out with the kids and watch movies, we just couldn't decide. So the host and hostess came out in us on the 30th and we decided to see what some friends were doing. Ten adults and twelve kids later we had a party! We had a Wii touney (well the boys did) and just hung out and had a ton of fun. Here is a picture at midnight!
Then the kids had a dance off. Hilarious!!
Then the kids had a dance off. Hilarious!!
It was serious stuff!
It even had a little break dancing!
It was so much fun, I think we will have to do it again next year! Thanks everyone for coming.
Now on to the missing tooth. As I told you earlier Tyson's front tooth was loose. Well, it was just barely hanging on so I kept checking on it. This is his fourth tooth he has lost and so far we have seen zero after they came out. I was determined to keep this one. But yesterday afternoon out walks Tyson with a huge gap! This is our conversation. Me: "Tyson, where is your tooth?" Tyson: "I lost it." Seriously another one gone! He must swallow them. So we wrote yet another note to the Tooth Fairy and luckily she isn't holding it against him because she still brought him money!
I swear it looks like more than one tooth fell out, but it was only one. I guess it is a good thing to have the space for the giant tooth getting ready to come in.

A New Year
Only 5 days into 2011 I am finding myself realizing just how much my boys are growing up. In 10 days Tyson is going to be 7! In a month Charlie is going to be 3! I can't believe how fast time is moving. I stopped to think just how much has changed in the last couple weeks and made a list.
* Charlie is no longer sleeping in his crib. Tyson is sleeping on the top bunk and Charlie on the bottom. It is so cute. (FYI - they have their own rooms but choose to sleep together)
* Charlie is no longer drinking milk out of a soft top sippy cup. He doesn't like it much, but I had to do it. He really was still drinking it like a bottle.
* Charlie will start preschool in a month. Four mornings a week he will go to school. I have so many mixed emotions about this. I know he will love it and he will learn so much. He is a sponge right now so I know it is good for him. But selfishly I am so sad that my baby is going to school. How is it possible?
* Tyson is completely dressing himself. This probably isn't a big deal to many of you, but it has been a really hard thing for him to be able to do without help. He puts on his own shirt, pants, socks, and shoes.
* Tyson is losing his top front tooth. I think kids look so much older when they have those two really big front teeth.
* Tyson makes his own peanut butter sandwiches when he gets hungry.
* They both are trying to see along to every song they hear. Tyson gets the words in pretty good (his favorite was the 12 Days of Christmas), but Charlie really only gets the last word and hums the rest of it. I love hearing it no matter how bad it is!
OK I have to stop it is making me too sad. Keep in mind these are changes that have happened in only the last couple weeks. It is too much at one time, but bring on 2011! I can't wait to see what is in store for us!

Christmas 2010
There is something about having two boys, one 6 and one 2, that makes taking pictures at Christmas virtually impossible. I do it every year. I take my camera with such good intentions of taking more pictures than I did last year. And yet again I failed. The celebrations start slow and end with a bang at my sister Kelli's house for the Baldus side. I did pretty well on Christmas Eve, so-so at the Lundstrom side, and zero at the Baldus side. Pathetic! But the boys were so into it this year. Tyson was so excited for Santa to come with his Dora Dollhouse. (yep, my 6 year old boy wanted a Dora Dollhouse and he got it, judge if you want but he loves it!) Charlie opened his presents in the exact opposite way you would think. I expected him to tear into them with all the craziness he possesses. But he went slow and steady and was just so excited for everything that he opened. It was a great Christmas! Here are a few pictures I did take.
Charlie LOVED Santa! He kept screaming "Hi Santa!" and giving him hug after hug. It was cute!
Cousin Love!
Braydon just goes with the flow!
