We Are Still Here!

I know I am not the best blogger in the world, but I do think I have a pretty legitimate excuse for not blogging lately. I really feel like I have lost the last month and a half of life. Tyson, Charlie, and I all had H1N1. It was awful! Tyson started in on a Friday night and we knew it was serious when he did not want to go watch the Wildcats play football on Saturday. He ran a fever, coughed uncontrollably, and was completely exhausted! Then Charlie got it. He ran a fever, puked, and had horrible diarrhea. Then I got it. I had it all with a migraine to top it off. It was absolutely horrible being sick trying to take care of 2 sick kids. And of course this all had to happen during Joel's busiest time of year. It was awful, but you know life has to keep going.

This is Halloween night. Tyson was feeling better but Charlie and I were not. As you can see in the pictures! Joel also tried to carve pumpkins with Tyson which you can also see. I think Joel had more fun than Tyson! Tyson did get to do some trick or treating, but Charlie just rode in the stroller. We did what we could with what we had!

Before I got sick, Joel and I decided to splurge and get tickets to the Packers/Vikings game in Green Bay. I was soo excited! We also bought plane tickets so there was no backing out. When it came time to go to the game I was miserable and Charlie was still throwing up. We had to see if the babysitter was really up for it too! She was in and after a lot of debating we loaded the plane and off we went. I spent most of the tailgating laying down in the car. I made it to the game and it was awesome! It was hard to watch Brett play for the Vikings but it was still amazing to see him play and be at Lambeau. I just wish we would have beat him! We barley made the plane on Monday coming home because I was so sick, but we all survived. To top it off, on Monday while we were in Wisconsin, our neighbor was taking Tyson to school and he threw up all over her van. Seriously, this was our life for 2 and a half weeks!

This sign used to say "Brett Favre Pass", now it says, "Brett Favre Ass". Too funny!!

So, we are now all healthy and ready for the holidays! We haven't been back to Iowa since August so we are very excited to see everyone. We miss them all so much! And we get to try out the "new" Suburban on our road trip. Can't wait!

We LOVE Bubbles

We now have to have bubbles in our bath for EVERY bath. Tyson gets them all over and Charlie giggles at him. It is quite entertaining!

It is the simple things in life, isn't it!

24 Hours at the Lundstrom's

I am always telling everyone that Charlie is naughty. No one believes me. They tell me he is soo good, what are you talking about? Well here are a few examples of Charlie and keep in mind these all happened in the last 24 hours.

1) Grabbed the McDonald's sack and took off running while spilling hot mustard sauce all over the living room floor.

2) Found a glass jar of never been opened salsa, dropped it on the tile kitchen floor and it shattered.

3) Found an open bag of shredded cheese, grabbed it by the bottom, poured it out all over the kitchen and living room.

All of these were done while we were saying, "No Charlie. No, no!"

But this is what helps me get through the day!

Who Did This?

We woke up this morning to a puking pumpkin. Who is responsible for this? We know you are out there! Just come clean and tell us who you are! :)

Tyson's First Dance!

I have to admit when I saw a dance on the school calender I thought they were crazy to think an elementary school should have a dance. Who would really dance? Well, I was proven wrong last night! We had the dance and boy did they dance. My kids included!

We never really know how Tyson is going to be at things like this, but we are determined to try it all and we can leave if we have to. So when he walked into the gym with the music blaring and kids running around everywhere he did not want to go another step. Joel and I looked at each other and said, "well, guess it is going to be a short night." But he gradually got closer and closer to the kids and music. He started to recognize kids in his class and started to boogie. He did not want to leave when the dance was over.

Charlie also got to go with us. He also loved it. He was wearing his cute (but way too small) bear costume and wanted to be right in the middle of it. He is a head nodder when he dances so the bear head on top was just boppin up and down. Hilarious! A great time was had by all!

Tyson break dancing!

Lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Lundstrom

I am really late in posting about this one, but this picture is too cute not to post. So the week after Grandma Baldus came to eat lunch with Tyson, Grandma and Grandpa Lundstrom made the trip to Kansas and got to eat lunch with him too! He was so excited for them to come to his school. It was a long drive, but I think Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed it too. Cadence, our neighbor and Tyson's friend, also got to eat lunch with them. She was pretty excited too! Isn't Kindergarten GREAT?

Sleepy Tyson

This is how Tyson fell asleep the other night. He is quite a little book worm these days. Too cute!!

For some reason Tyson loves wearing my old coats around the house. The other night it was really cold outside and I did not want to turn on the heat yet. I guess this was Tyson's way of telling me to turn it on!
