We Are Still Here!

I know I am not the best blogger in the world, but I do think I have a pretty legitimate excuse for not blogging lately. I really feel like I have lost the last month and a half of life. Tyson, Charlie, and I all had H1N1. It was awful! Tyson started in on a Friday night and we knew it was serious when he did not want to go watch the Wildcats play football on Saturday. He ran a fever, coughed uncontrollably, and was completely exhausted! Then Charlie got it. He ran a fever, puked, and had horrible diarrhea. Then I got it. I had it all with a migraine to top it off. It was absolutely horrible being sick trying to take care of 2 sick kids. And of course this all had to happen during Joel's busiest time of year. It was awful, but you know life has to keep going.

This is Halloween night. Tyson was feeling better but Charlie and I were not. As you can see in the pictures! Joel also tried to carve pumpkins with Tyson which you can also see. I think Joel had more fun than Tyson! Tyson did get to do some trick or treating, but Charlie just rode in the stroller. We did what we could with what we had!

Before I got sick, Joel and I decided to splurge and get tickets to the Packers/Vikings game in Green Bay. I was soo excited! We also bought plane tickets so there was no backing out. When it came time to go to the game I was miserable and Charlie was still throwing up. We had to see if the babysitter was really up for it too! She was in and after a lot of debating we loaded the plane and off we went. I spent most of the tailgating laying down in the car. I made it to the game and it was awesome! It was hard to watch Brett play for the Vikings but it was still amazing to see him play and be at Lambeau. I just wish we would have beat him! We barley made the plane on Monday coming home because I was so sick, but we all survived. To top it off, on Monday while we were in Wisconsin, our neighbor was taking Tyson to school and he threw up all over her van. Seriously, this was our life for 2 and a half weeks!

This sign used to say "Brett Favre Pass", now it says, "Brett Favre Ass". Too funny!!

So, we are now all healthy and ready for the holidays! We haven't been back to Iowa since August so we are very excited to see everyone. We miss them all so much! And we get to try out the "new" Suburban on our road trip. Can't wait!
