Basketball Season with Tyson (sorry a little wordy)

So we are down to one more home K-State game, I can't believe it.  This season has been awesome.  Tyson has loved every second of every game, even the really loud ones.  He knows every player on our team.  He knows that when he sees the Jayhawks you boo.  He knows who Frank Martin is.  He knows that he loves the WILDCATS!  His favorite player changes sometimes but it is most consistently Dominique Sutton #23, who truly is a great player.

It is just so fun to watch him.  He HAS to get a program at every game.  Cadence, our neighbor girl, brings $2 with her to every game so she can get one for her and one for Tyson, so sweet.  He looks forward to seeing who is on the front of it at every game.  During the game he knows all the cheers, songs, dances, everything!  He is always just a little ahead of everyone else because he just can't wait.  After the game he always tries to get to the tunnel to possibly get a high five from any player.  One week he got a high five from Jamar Samuels #32 and he thought was the greatest thing in the world.  One week he got Dominque Sutton to autograph his jersey.  We always hang around to see if we can get any of the team's autographs.  We have gotten a lot of them!  This week he even got Frank Martin's.  Frank was walking into the tunnel and Cadence yelled, "Frank!"  He turned around and came back to sign their programs.  Pretty cool I must say.

This year has been full of visitors too.  Darrin Sproles was at a game (we didn't get his autograph), George Brett, lots of previous K-State players, and this week JORDY NELSON!  I have been waiting for this one all year.  I just knew he would be at one.  So we waited after the game, stalked him like any true Packer fan would, and got him to sign Tyson's hat.  I am sure that this was a way bigger deal to me than Tyson, but it sure looks better with a 6 year old kid instead of a crazy 32 year old woman!

OK, so I just figured out that some of you might not know who he is.  He used to play football for KSU and now he is a wide receiver for the GREEN BAY PACKERS!!

Love this post--my boys are crazy about the cats, too, but they're not lucky enough to get to go to most of the games. I can't picture Cadence yelling out Frank's name--she seems so quiet whenever I'm around her. What a sweet friend she is to Tyson, buying him a program! Go Cats!
