For some reason Joel and I decided that it was a good idea to take two boys with autism ice skating when neither Joel nor I had ever done it either. OK, so I did it once when I was young, but I don't think that counts. We put on the skates like we knew what we were doing and off we went.
This is Tyson after ONE time around. This may have been a horrible idea. "What were we thinking?"
Dare Devil Charlie of course loved it. He thought he was a pro and could just walk around and skate like he had been doing his whole life, smiling the entire time! Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea.
And then Tyson decided he loved it too. You always know he is working hard when his Michael Jordan tongue comes out! He LOVED it and kept telling us, "I'm skating!" It was so cute! He did not want to leave and we will for sure be going back soon. It is always so nice to be able to do something fun that both boys like. By the way, Joel and I were not good at it!
"Thanks Mom!"
